 I don't know if you've been watching the sunsets the last couple days, but the sun hasn't set but instead suddenly disappeared about 15 minutes or so before sunset. Today, the sky is weird in a different way. I'm really quite sure that those clouds there are not set against a background of more clouds.

I really probably should have gone to bed immediately. Exhausted, and computers are debatable during yom kippur, but i needed to look up when services were where, and was already exhausted, which didn't bode well. Morning comes soon. The short form is that there are many ways i could be a better person and a better friend, some of which I dwell on perhaps too much. at this time of year it is traditional to heal relationships and do what one can to apologize, make amends, change if need be. To be honest, I haven't been doing as well with the High Holy Days thing as I often do. My family skipped the Rosh Hashana evening service, and my cousins and I got to the morning only in time for the Torah service. So one of the hallmarks of this particular high holy day season is somehow never having any real time to sit and write and put a usual post together. I'm running out of time - kol nidre is tomorrow.
